A small group of Filipino families in Moncton came together to form the Filipino Association of New Brunswick, Greater Moncton Area Chapter.
FANB hosted its first Philippine Independence Day celebration in Moncton, drawing over 200 attendees from across New Brunswick.
Membership surpassed 500 active families, reflecting the growing Filipino Canadian population in Atlantic Canada.
FANB launched cultural exchange initiatives with local schools, sharing Filipino traditions, food, and language with the broader Moncton community.
During COVID-19, FANB organized food drives, information sharing in Filipino languages, and virtual events to keep the community connected.
Membership reached 3,000 active members across Greater Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview, and surrounding areas.
Today FANB is the largest Filipino community organization in Atlantic Canada, hosting 50+ events per year and welcoming hundreds of new arrivals annually.
